Day #2 of fall break we went out to Grandpa Stokes' land in search of some trees for a Christmas project we found on pinterest. I was recently introduced to this sight and fell in love. So many great ideas! The above picture is the kiddos ready for the 4-wheeler ride.
While Daddy was tree hunting the kiddos and I went for a ride.
Daddy found some trees and put Mommy to work.
We finished our woods trip with a fun family ride around the land. The river runs through it so we road over to look off the bank. That's why Titus is looking down. He's checking out the water. Grandpa Stokes also has a sulfur spring on his land. Daddy also drove us over to see that. Sure is stinky!!
On the way back we found a turtle. Tatum looks so big here to me! She loves all creatures. She has such a mothering heart and wants to take care of them all.
DAY #3
Katie and I dressed up for the spooktacular 5K run. We thought pumpkin outfits were appropriate for the time of year.
Phil joined us for this run and finished in 25 minutes. He was speedy
Katie finished this one with her fastest time to date of 28 minutes.
I finished with my fastest time to date as well. 29:12.
Here is our group of runners. I think a few may have gotten cut off in the pic sorry about that. Dan finished with a time of 20 minutes. Maybe 19 I'm not really sure.
Dan and Phil both won first place in their age divisions!! Way to go! I'm so proud of you both!!
After the race we headed home to shower and pack for Eli's first birthday party. We headed out to the party and watched Eli eat cake and open presents. After the party was rapping up we headed out and on to Texas. Elianna's baby dedication was the next day. We visited with Marcia's family, David, Marcia and Ellie that night before crashing hard at the hotel. What a full fun Saturday that was!!
